Beach Streets in West Long Beach
Beach Streets returns to Long Beach on Saturday, May 10, 2025, transforming the streets of West Long Beach into a car-free celebration of community, sustainability, and mobility. Hosted by the City of Long Beach and presented by the Los Angeles County Metropolitan Transportation Authority (Metro), this free, family-friendly event invites residents and visitors to walk, bike, skate, and explore their neighborhoods in a safe and engaging environment.
Beach Streets runs from 11 AM to 5 PM, spanning Willow Street and Santa Fe Avenue, as motor vehicles will give way to people-powered transportation as well as a variety of open-air festivities. Entertainment hubs will line the route, offering live music, food trucks, and family activities. From rollerbladers and cyclists to strollers and street performers, Beach Streets offers a day full of connection and discovery and, well, fun.
Since its start in 2015, Beach Streets has become a staple of Long Beach culture—an event that reflects the city’s values of community, sustainability, and inclusion. The 2025 celebration promises to be memorable, with activities centered around three main hubs.
More than just a street fair, Beach Streets promotes sustainable, zero-emission transportation options like walking and biking, supporting the city’s climate action goals and encouraging safe, healthy commuting habits. The event also boosts local businesses, creating increased visibility and foot traffic along the route.
At Hudson Park (2335 Webster Ave), kids and families can enjoy the Kid Zone, complete with live music, skate demos, a game truck, inflatables, face painting, and a range of food options. Admiral Kidd Park (2125 Santa Fe Ave) will host more live performances, food vendors, and a community resource fair. The Willow Hub, located on Willow Street between Pacific Avenue and Long Beach Boulevard, will host performances by DJ Las Chicas Tristes, The Smokin’ 60s, Mariachi Divas, and Long Beach Undercover. For adults, a beer garden hosted by Long Beach Beer Lab adds a local flavor to the festivities. DJs will also be stationed all day at three locations along the route.
