Beach Streets in West Long Beach

Beach Streets returns to Long Beach on Saturday, May 10, 2025, transforming the streets of West Long Beach into a car-free celebration of community, sustainability, and mobility. Hosted by the City of Long Beach and presented by the Los Angeles County Metropolitan Transportation Authority (Metro), this free, family-friendly event invites residents and visitors to walk, bike, skate, and explore their neighborhoods in a safe and engaging environment.

Beach Streets runs from 11 AM to 5 PM, spanning Willow Street and Santa Fe Avenue, as motor vehicles will give way to people-powered transportation as well as a variety of open-air festivities. Entertainment hubs will line the route, offering live music, food trucks, and family activities. From rollerbladers and cyclists to strollers and street performers, Beach Streets offers a day full of connection and discovery and, well, fun.

Since its start in 2015, Beach Streets has become a staple of Long Beach culture—an event that reflects the city’s values of community, sustainability, and inclusion. The 2025 celebration promises to be memorable, with activities centered around three main hubs.
